Blake’s career took a few intentional turns before ultimately leading him to Wheelhouse Development where he now serves as Director of Sales & Development.

A graduate of Ohio University in 2012 with a degree in broadcast journalism, Blake moved to Lubbock when he was hired to be the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter at KCBD NewsChannel 11. It was during this time that Blake met his soon-to-be wife, Jordyn and started a family here in West Texas.

To properly provide for his new family, Blake transitioned to sales for KCBD, working closely with local business owners to earn their trust and deliver high-impact marketing campaigns. His consistent performance and ability to build strong relationships quickly earned him a promotion to Local Sales Manager.

When a new opportunity with Wheelhouse Development presented itself, Blake seized the chance to align his skills with a company that matched his values. Today, as Director of Sales & Development, Blake leads the Development Partner team—overseeing deal sourcing, strengthening key tenant relationships, coaching team members, and driving revenue growth while expanding Wheelhouse’s footprint across multiple markets. He combines his sales experience, communication style, and entrepreneurial mindset to expand the company’s pipeline and guide his team toward consistent, high-value performance.

Blake is happiest when with his family as he and Jordyn now have 4 kids, Reese, Luke, Ella, and their adopted daughter, Anna, who all mean the world to him. In addition to spending time with family, Blake loves to man the grill and depending on the season you’ll probably catch him with a Dallas Cowboys, Kansas basketball, or Texas Tech game on.
